Although Gander Mountain's site does not list them, I called the Knoxville this afternoon. They received two on Wednesday and already sold one. I then called our local Academy. They received one on Tuesday and already sold it.

I stopped to look at the remaining one at GM. They are asking $429.99. The slide stays back when you rack it. I tried it multiple times and it seemed to loosen up. I then realized that the mag has dropped about an 1/8 inch. Popping it back in caused the slide to stay back again when racking. Taking the magazine out, it racked correctly.

The trigger felt nice, but I am no expert.

I will wait for the .40 and take another look.

Sorry for the double post.

You can definitely feel when the grip safety has engaged. I was able to hold the gun in a firing position without engaging the safety. I could try to pull the trigger and it did not budge. Simply tightening my grip disengaged the safety.

It is not like the grip safety on my XDm, which I don't I could hold without disengaging the safety. With enough range time, I think using this one would become second nature.

Also, when the slide was open, I was not able to release it just using my thumb on the slide release. I had to pull slightly back with my off hand at the same time.

I checked the sights and I could not move either one. Nice sight picture.

Knox, not sure what you mean by when the mag was in the slide would not rack correctly? Was this because the slide stop was being engaged?

When I pulled back on the slide with the magazine fully inserted, it would stay back (out of battery). Pushing on the slide would sometimes make it return forward. Mostly, I had to pull back a little and press down on the slide stop.

With the magazine partially or completely removed, it racked normally (pull back and release and it would return to the normal position).

Sounds like normal operation of the Last Round Hold Open function.

It's supposed to lock the slide back when the mag runs dry.

Or did I misunderstand?

Sounds like it to me too unless we are both misunderstanding.

You're both right. Ignore my comment.

Hopefully the .40 comes soon.
