I'm thinking about just putting a Timney in my XCR. At $114 it may be the best option for me. I've been less than impressed with the X-Mark Pro anyhow.. I hate recalls...

With the recent XMP trigger recall by Remington, I found my model 700 ADL was affected by it, and that I'm looking at 12 weeks minimum for the repairs. Was anyone else affected and if so what models and what did you do?

Thanks SHOOTER13 I appreciate the move as I was unaware this thread existed,
And an update on the whole thing its a 3 month minimum wait and that Remington isn't really providing much in the way of updates when your rifle is done they'll email you with a tracking number. I gotta say I appreciate the candor of the guy who answered me. |
I sent back my LH SPS varmint 223 so I'm missing prime prairie dog time. Remington sent me a link with the repair number and my serial number to check online for updates. 90% of the time I get a run time error so I have no clue the status. I'm almost wishing they'd buy me out of the thing so I could go buy something else.

I check everyday also, and get that error message probably as often as you. But today I got the message that its in UPS hands , and I have a tracking number. HURRAH, there all finally done. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

When they had the recall on the Versamax, I called Remington and they shipped me the new parts for the trigger and bolt! The guy was real cool about it!

Mine has been gone 2 months. I call they said it was in the rack for repair and would probably take another two to three weeks. I should have bought a custom trigger. At least I could be using my investment.

Hot dog! Received an email from Remington that my 700 is on it's way home.

I got mine back after 13 weeks. It had a 7 lb Trigger! terrible! wish I had spent the money and bought a Timiny trigger or something. I've owned several Remingtons over many years. This recall made my 700 the only really bad one. Sold it today!!!

Oh man. What do you think they did? When I got mine back, the trigger still felt as good as the day I bought it. So, what did your trigger feel like when you sent it off? Sorry to hear of your issues. USMC 83' - 87'
