Well, I am happy for you, but they had mine two weeks before they got yours on May 5th, and they STILL have not got mine back to me. Who did you bribe to get yours so quick? I would say LOL, but I am not laughing anymore...Remington should be ashamed that they have had my gun for over 8 weeks now, and still can't seem to figure out what to do with this rifle. I am sorry to say that I doubt, even after I get the gun back, I will make this sort of mistake again. USMC 83' - 87'

I just got notification that I can pick up one of mine at the guard shack, will be going down this evening to get it.
|
|
Went down this evening and picked up one of my mod.700s. Took just over 2 months, I asked about the other one that I brought in with this one, he checked his pile of boxes and said it wasn't there yet. I'm worried about that one, as I received NO work order number, I called about a month ago, and a lady did a search and got back to me latter and said it was with the one I picked up tonight. I asked the guard if these guns were being out sourced or worked on in house, he said all work was being done in house, and atleast 2 truckloads of rifles where being brought in daily to be worked on.

They have had mine for about a month now, There e-mail said it could be up to 6 to 9 weeks for repairs. The way I understand it from there e-mail, they have other shops handling the repairs also. I could be wrong the way I interpeded there e-mail.

Did you ship your gun by UPS? If so do you remember where it was shipped to. I ask because 2 of mine I took directly to the Ilion plant. A couple of weeks latter I discovered I had read the serial # wrong on one of my other ones, so I figured I'd let UPS handle it. When I received my address label I noticed it was being sent to Little Falls. That's why I asked the guard if the work was being outsourced. He said that was just a storage warehouse, and daily 2 truckloads were being brought up daily to the Ilion plant to be checked and repaired. He stated all the work was being done in house. The Little Falls warehouse is located only about 10 miles away from the Ilion plant if that.

I used the provided label, mine was delivered to: Little Falls, NY, US |

After just over 5 weeks, I got the email yesterday saying my rifle has been shipped! I emailed Remington last week. They told me it could take up to 12 weeks.

Finally! I picked mine up from the store I had bought it from. Man, that was a long wait, but they did what they had to do with the trigger, so off to the range I will go on July 4th.
I had bought the Remington one-piece scope mounts, then used the blue lock-tite on them per one of the moderator's advice. I have to admit, it is one solid set up. My ADL stainless is chambered in .30-06, and I had a problem with my old set up coming loose, but I don't think this set up is going to move at all. I noticed that there is a small "dimple" in the bolt release button, inside the trigger group, that was not there before. This must be how they show that a particular rifle has been worked on per the recall. Again, it took 10 weeks, but I finally got her back! Do not want to go through that again. ![]() USMC 83' - 87'

Anybody get their repaired M700's back from Remington yet...!?
|
|
Yes, I got one of mine back last week, was away on vacation when I got the notice it was ready to pick up at the guard house on 6/19. Called today to check on one that I have not heard anything about since 4/16 when I dropped it off at the guard house, the guard says the plant is closed this week, so won't be hearing anything this week.

Good news...let's have a range report when you finally get it back riche !
|
|
Mine is still on the received list, waiting to be worked on. Who know's.

UPS guy dropped mine off today! Six weeks to the day that Remington received it.

Great news JC !!
...standing by for a range report !! |

I have a 700 that qualified for the recall and remington sent the shipping tags, etc. in April. All indications were that they were also going to ship a box to send it back in. After two months of waiting for a box, I just shipped it off. Like some here, they're not off to a good start on this one especially seeing how it is my varmint rifle and there are varmints to shoot!

Well, I'm not Riche, but I did get my rifle out to the range this morning. I ran 15 rounds total through it, 7 150 grain and 8 165 grain loads. Of the 150's, three of them were Winchester loads...I can most certainly say that my Remington shows a preference for Remington ammo.
I set my scope on 7x, and let three of the Winchesters go at 100 yards...a 1.75 inch group. Hmmm, that kinda sucked I said to myself. Next, I ran four rounds of Remington Core Lokt ammo through the gun and produced a 1.25 inch group. Well, that's a little better I said. I ran a synthetic brush through the bore, followed by a dry patch, then settled back in with the 165's. This time I moved my scope up to 9x, and let go with 8 of the heavier loads...all Remington Core Lokt rounds. Again, this rifle likes the Remington ammo, and heavier bullets. I took about ten minutes to shoot all 8 rounds at two separate 100 yard targets. My best group was 1.05 inches, center to center, out of two four round groups. The other group was 1.125 inches. Now, I know this was just over MOA, but for twenty-dollar a box ammo, that's not bad. I bet with thinner cross wires on my scope, and premium ammo, I would be able to produce a few MOA or slightly better groups out of this rifle. Oh, BTW, the trigger worked great...just like it did before I sent it back to them. ![]() USMC 83' - 87'

Good to hear remingtontoter...!!

Had a visit from UPS this morning, I seen he was carrying a Remington box. It was the one I was worried about, so that was a relief. Now I only have one more left that needs to be returned, but that one was sent back a couple of weeks latter than this one, and it also has a number that I can check on. Now I need to find time to go to the range.

Let us know how she shoots riche...

Hang in there buddy. I feel your pain. What calibers are yours? I have to admit, that I need to get something a little lighter than .30-06 for center-fire target practice...it beats me up! Lol. USMC 83' - 87'

The three that went back where 223, 243, and 308. I got the 223 back first, then the 308, both of which I bought this winter and I never had an opportunity to shoot. The 243 is still at Remington and that one I did have sighted in, and it shot pretty good. I also have a 30-06 and 270 but they weren't on that recall list.

That was about how mine went. They were telling me about three more weeks, then all of a sudden, it was done and being shipped! What the hell I thought, at least I was getting it back. Man, I missed that gun, and don't want to have it out of my sight again. USMC 83' - 87'
