I will get in touch with Vang Comp and see if they have any interest in releasing a kit for the Remington Model 887.

I have not heard back from them yet but I will try again today for you. Have you looked into other options for holding more shells on the Remington Model 887?

Looks as if I will be having my M887 drilled and tapped. NOT my first opition but it seems to be my only one do to the lack of scope mounting systems out there ... I really like this shotgun but I do have second thoughts on not getting the trusted 870 just because of the lack of accessories for the M887 and lack of response to inquiries of available products or when they may be expected on the market ... :(

Im surprised as well that no aftermarket companies sell a side saddle for the m887. They could kill the market if someone would come up with more parts for the M887. let use know how the surgery goes on your gun.

OK, now I don't know if I should cry or puke ... :( NO one around here will even consider drilling and tapping my 887 because of the ArmorLokt coating .. I have now completely run out of options in getting my red dot scope mounted .. :(

Sorry to say, I'm really regretting in my choice of shotguns ... HEY !! Remington want to trade me a 887 thats already drilled and tapped ???

I'm going to go and cry now ... :(

You could try an talk to Remington's custom shop to do the drilling for you. It might be a little more but im sure you wouldn't have any problems with it after. I'm still shocked that no other gunsmith with tap the receiver for you.

You and me both .... From what I gather is they don't know enough about the coating to take a chance on drilling through it.

I wouldn't have a problem with shipping it to the custom shop for drilling and tapping, but I'm sure it would cost me an arm and leg to have them do it.

I'm at a loss as what to do next .. :(

It is a really great product. Great tool to have with you for hunting as well just in case you drop your shotgun and fear your sight is now off.

Anyone hear anything about magazine tube extensions for the 887? I looked into the Nordic Components (NC) extensions but they do not (yet) make them for the 887 and apparently the 870 extensions aren't compatible.

I have not see any available magazine extensions but I will talk to ATI and Nordic Components.
