Hello everyone:
I have recently changed the scope base on my Remington 700P, in order to install a better one. When removing the old one, I noticed a little marring on the receviver, just in some of the places that the scope base makes contact. ¿Is this a normal thing, and I should not be worried about? After intalling the new one, the marring is not visible, as it´s in the inside.

Greetings from Pedro (Spain).

Nothing to worry about...especially if it can't be seen now.

Thanks a lot for your reply. But can it be considered something that usually happens?

Greetings

Yes. There is not a 'perfect' fit of the mount to the receiver, and it will move very minimally under recoil, thus leaving a mark. Another reason why you should re-tighten/check the scope mount screws routinely.
What could have happened... did.
