My 'standard' R1 (black w/ walnut) should be in my hands in the next 4 or 5 days. Old "DUKE", my stainless Colt, will have a 'safe' partner next week. I'll post photos of them when it arrives. DUKE is pictured on the previous page of this post. This arriving R1 is coming from Remington as a trade for my 1st returned R51. Safe partner... let me restate that... Range bag partner! No safe-queens for me. Mine are all shooters as they were intended to be.

I just bought the plain jane blue R1 because i like the looks. It shoots great too. I have run 3 boxes of Federal alum cased ammo through it with zero problems. Even my el cheapo mags i bought on ebay were perfect in the gun...Bob

Commander for me, for concealed carry purposes. I saw only satin black oxide available.

Hey rootbrain Do you have the steps or a link to review on the conversion? Thanks RC |

None of the above in this poll. I chose the Carry Commander. I like the weight, balance and ability to carry concealed without poking myself in places I'd rather not be poked in.

Me, too, 03Std!. Myself, I have the standard no-frills Commander. This is a fabulous pistol and just about the best handgun investment I've ever made. I see the poll is over four years old now. Perhaps the good Dr. D could update it so the Commander guys can toss in a vote? -Ed-
