I'm in process of building a 700 223 sps it has a hs precision stock and a 26 bull barrel 1:12 twist. For optics it will have a bushnell elite 6-24x50. Before I start trying this and trying that I'm gathering ideas from others experience on best loads. What bullets and powders have y'all used?

Your 1:12" twist will keep you to bullets 55-grains and under.
Hornady 50-gr V-Max #22261 is a nice polymer tipped boattail bullet. Combined Technology 55-gr Ballistic Silvertip # 51031 is a really accurate bullet. Sierra 52-gr HPBT Match #1410 is VERY accurate. Powders I lean toward are mostly Hodgdon brand. My scoped 20" AR-15 shoots well with those bullets and H335 (which is a good spherical propellant), and H322 or Benchmark which are nice short grain extruded powders that can make really good accurate loads. H322 is claimed to have "won more benchrest matches than all other propellants combined". I'd be immensely pleased with H322 and any of the above bullets that I have loaded and stay with. Sounds like a really nice rifle!
