Just ordered my replacement PRP Ultimate Match Target trigger for my XD40sc. It'll reduce the overtravel and trigger pull which as of right now is measured in feet rather than lbs. It's a pretty straight forward drop-in kit that may take some minor fitting. I've never liked the factory XD triggers and can't wait to get it installed.

I look forward to hearing how you like that trigger on your xd40sc as I have thought of ordering that one as well.

I should have it by the end of this week and hope to have it installed in time to test it out this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes...

I don't know how long the kits will last. They're extremely popular with XD owners and highly acclaimed on the XDTalk forum. Once I decided to go for it, I had to wait three months before they had them back in stock!

First time out to the range with the new PRP Ultimate Match Target trigger this morning.
All I can say is WOW! This trigger kit is AMAZING. I was to the point of trading in my XD40sc on something else because the factory trigger used to break like a wet carrot, but I figured I'd give the PRP trigger kit a chance. I'm glad I did. It now has a very short pull/reset, with a clean, crisp break and is an absolute pleasure to shoot. It greatly improved my results on target. I could finally concentrate on the bull instead of wondering when the trigger was about to break. Stopped by the LGS on my way home and measured the trigger pull at an average of 3.3 lbs. I highly recommend the PRP triggers to anyone looking to improve their XD/XDM. 16.5" 597 AAC-SD .22lr

The Springfield 1911 A1 mil-spec is on the list of firearms to get for me right now! What a beauty!

Very nice!
They're snappy little boogers in .40 S&W aren't they?! How d'you like that grip extension? The gap between the frame and the +2 SA MagExt that came with mine pinches the crap outta my finger everytime I shoot. I had to add the grip sleeve to cover it up. 16.5" 597 AAC-SD .22lr

Snappy is putting it lightly, but of all the handguns I have owned and shot it remains my favorite. I like the grip extension a lot and really helped it fit my hand better. I never experienced the +2 pinching my fingers but next time at the range I will have to pay more attention to that.

You'd remember if it happened...

It definitely hasn't happened to me yet but I also shoot with the smaller mag more often.

Been thinking about getting an XDs...how's that .40 shoot Sniper...!?

It shoots like a dream after I put the PRP match target trigger in it.
Before that I couldn't stand it. Had a mile of take-up and over travel with a break like a wet carrot. Actually traded the XD off today toward the new wheel gun I just posted... 16.5" 597 AAC-SD .22lr

Thought the same about the trigger also...had a few in my hands, different calibers...same gritty trigger.
Guess I'll keep lookin'... |

I love my Springfield Armory XD9 Sub Compact. I carry it most of the time except in warmer weather I carry my SA XDs 45 ACP. Both are great but the XD9 gives me 29 rounds with a spare mag. I like those odds. The XD9 is by far my favorite and most trusted handgun.
