I don't know exactly what you are looking for but the 308 is a short action in the remington 700

That my friend is the problem, the M24(R) is a 7.62 x 51mm in a Remington 700 long action receiver. I was looking at badger ordenabce solution and was wondering if anyone has played around with this "M24 Only" convertion from Badger? or any other manufacturer for that matter. Thanks.

Got the Badger Ordnance convertion made for the M24A2, waiting for it to arrive, expensive but....the only solution I could find.

I placed an order with Remington for the M24R about 5 weeks ago (I'm category 2). I've heard nothing from them. 3 emails and 4 phone calls and no feedback. I am told to email them to ask for a status...I've more or less given up on getting a response. Anyway, I digress....

How is your M24? I've been doing a little research and digging and I wanted to see about getting some of your input since you actually have hands on your system.

My intention is to use the rifle, for a couple years at least, then try to sell it in the future. Since most of the parts are switched out for new ones, do you really see any collectible value or am I just looking at getting a really nice system that I could sell for price paid, maybe less?

Appreciate your thoughts in the matter.

I almost gave up on my M24R, place my order in February, after emails and phone calls, I could not get anyone to reply to my inquaries. I would say that my friend who is in the cat 2 of the sale schedule got his only a week after I got mine and he place his order in July, so I will say hang in there, and don't expect any feed back from Remington. I really hate the way they went about this, I understand your frustration.

As far as the rifle goes, I think it will become a great collector, I took the stock an scope off, and I am keeping it in the deployment box to safe keep, in the even my kid wants to sell it when I am gone. It is shooting 1/2 MOA and I am taking it to a competition next week. I was told by the guy that owns the range that the M24 was a piece of $#@! gun, so I hope I do well to make him eat his words.

Good luck getting this great rifle, you are going to enjoy it.

I have a .22-250 remington VSSF Action that I want to put a 5 shot Mag it.
Has anyone done this?
What is the best kit to do it?
As you all know the .22-250 has a different mag follower than the .308/.243 and therefore a .22-250 mag will be unique to the calibre.
I have looked at Pacific Tool and Gauge and Badger ordnance.
However I really would like a Mag like the CDL DM models.
Has anyone modified the VSSF II stock to fit a Remmy Mag?
