I have a 2 year old 11/87 12ga that has shot aroung 250 rounds.

On my last duck hunt, it started jamming when shooting 3" shells.
Basically the finger that is supposed to stop each shell as it tries to come out of the mag tube, is letting two shells past at the same time, causing the first shell to jam in the action. I can manually cycle several mag fulls with no problem, and then there will be one that jams!!

I shot some clays with the gun after shooting ducks and I could not get it to jam using 2 3/4" shells?

Any suggestions?

sounds like your carrier release tab needs to be adjusted a little bit
