Just curious to see some opinions of shooting rest bags against a bipod setup instead of going out and buying both right away. I've only ever used sandbags or an assault pack, never a bipod. However, that was also with an M4. For hunting I already have a setup I will use in my stand or blinds, but want to see what everyone prefers for targets both long and short. I already know that more contact can mean a more stable shot, but at the same time it can limit mobility when acquiring you next target. Thoughts?

For hunting I generally use a bipod for the the flexibility and ease of adjusting your setup quickly.

Hunting, depending on hunting style, I'd prefer I bi-pod. For off the bench, I like bags.

Then again, my current bi-pod is too tall (9-12 or 13) to be comfortable off of a bench or prone at closer ranges, on flat or declined angles.

I think it would depend a fair bit on the situation at hand
