New to the site. 27 and live in NY and hate the entire state. Apparently people who don't use guns make the laws here... And since I'm in the Army, that doesn't go ever well with me! Love shooting all kinds of guns, but I personally own an 870 express super mag, K98 Mauser, and my newest addition is a 700 VTR!

Welcome to Remington Owners! I know what you mean, I too live in NY and can't stand all the restrictions we have. Congrats on the 700 VTR when you get a chance feel free to post some pictures of it in the 700 section.

Thanks gents. DoubleTap, whereabouts in NY are you? I'm down in Jamestown just 10 minutes from the PA line so I can easily get away from the bs in NY. Find it so amusing though that you cannot purchase an AR-15 that has a collapsible buttstock or flash suppressor, yet you can purchase a Barrett with little effort... I'm considering switching back my drivers license to Ohio as it is my home of record and since I'm military NY can't say a word about it. Then at least PA would sell me whatever I wanted. Most of the police around here hunt and have them anyways as personal weapons and several have said they normally look the other way for Military guys so long as we don't do anything stupid.

I put some pics up in the photo section. I'm a former 11B turned over to the dark side of the 79R realm. Going on my 10th year and looking to make SFC as well!

Welcome from MI!!
If all the people that made the laws owned guns we wouldn't have any gun laws We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.-Ronald Reagan
