For quite some time I have frequented the same field in La Pampa, to be more accurate the field is located 30 km from the town of Chamaico Nuevo, a village on the side of the national route No. 188, are only four houses and a road post As soon as the village is finished, a dirt road is taken to reach the countryside. it is not a hunting ground, it belongs to a friend, which allows me to go hunting. The only thing that I could get to hunt in this field was years ago a puma, the hunting of the boar in the modality of nocturnal waitings becomes very difficult, because until a little more than a year it did not possess any kind of fattening / aguada. For this reason I persist in the idea of hunting a boar to the stalking, inside, in the land where the wild boar reigns. The only thing I needed to do that was to acquire a GPS, so as not to get lost as is my habit, so I ended up buying a Garmin E-Trex 10, as simple as possible for what I needed it.
With everything ready in the car I left for the field on Saturday September 10 at 02:00 a.m., arriving at the field at around 10 o'clock in the morning. Chat through cell phone the owner told me that he was not going to be in the same, but was in charge, that I felt at home. Greetings and talk with the manager and kill in between, I communicate that hunters who frequented the field had made a feedlot with a pond and a trough and on a tree a post, which afternoon was going to see and step went a little mountain. Behind the house, arm the tent ... and get everything you need out of the car ...
Once unpacked and ordered everything inside the tent, I continued with the pleasant talk with Sebastian the manager while we prepared the fire for the barbecue.
Siesta and then to walk a bit the mountain and see the post with the feed.
Very well done and the post office although precarious very well done and comfortable, I checked on Sunday when I bet from 17 to 22 and Monday from 18 to 21 approximately, as you can see it was not my idea to bet, I did it for Do not lose your habit
Returning to Saturday, after seeing the settlement / feedlot, I went through one of the mountains, because the mountains are separated by chopped if fire is set on one of the mountains does not spread to the rest. And almost entering the sun I went back to where I set up the tent to take some mates and eat something and rest. On Sunday, type 8, I went out to see if I could find some specimens entering the mountains and to continue trying to find traces inside the forest, which I did in the afternoon and then bet. I did the same on Monday, where I concentrated more on the mountain where the feedlot was made.
On Tuesday morning I followed the same routine but this time I entered the mountain in the middle of one of its sides, always indicating in the GPS the coordinates of where the car left or some kind of reference, around noon I returned to replace forces eating something and filling the canteen with water. Because the mountain entered only with the rifle, the GPS, the photo machine and about six cartridges, the rest was inside the car. Tuesday afternoon I went back to the forest around 13 and being about 250 meters in the woods to take a break to drink some water, from one of the bushes in front of me came a boar, which stopped his career about 20 meters behind some small trees, I stayed motionless and very slowly point my gun and trusting the tips of 250 grams of the .338 made the shot, the boar, ran again and I behind it, because I thought that some of the branches had deflected the bullet, but at 20 meters no more, fell, and without thinking it point to his head and make a second shot. My joy was immense. Mark with the GPS the place and I went to look for the one in charge so that it helps me to remove it, but I could not locate it, but I found myself with a hunter recently arrived at the field, which helped me in the arduous task.
