Had to break that streak, just couldn't let it go. What's everyone up to, spring cleaning?

I got a tick off of my arm today. It hadn't bitten me yet, but it was crawling.

I was rather surprised to see one this early in the year. Especially a full grown one.

Happens too often I have noticed Scorpion. Many Remington owners out there that need to join and share info and experiences.

So somebody needs to talk me out of an 870 in 410 Gauge. I already have 870's in 12 & 20, and I don't know what I truly need a pump 410 for, but I want one. Bad. Sound familiar?

I saw a bunch of 870 twelves for $130 in a WTS ad on another forum this week.

They were police trade ins and virtually no bluing left, but if I had the extra money, I'd certainly buy another and refinish it.

I've bought from the guy before, so I know he's alright.

Yea, I'd be a sucker for a new project too. 870's (especially the Express Synthetics) don't command much around here but by the time you find decent wood furniture and all, the price can climb beyond what you'll ever recoup.

Yeah, I like my projects.

I have a couple in the works, but nothing extravagant.

I did enjoy restoring my old 870 when my youngest grandson was born. I plan to give it to him someday.

I called and asked Remington and they told me it was made in Dec. 1989. 870 Magnum.

The day I brought it home from a yard sale

During
Cylinder barrel measured in a NEGATIVE choke with a set of calipers. ~.739". So, I threaded it for winchokes so I could put any choke that I wanted to in it. Don't let anyone fool you, the 20" barrel shoots just fine with an XXFull Turkey choke in it :D

And like you, I don't necessarily do it to make a lot of money. I do it because I enjoy doing it.
