Just bought an 1100 Tac 4, and so far I'm likin' it. I plan to use it at 3-gun matches. I've shot some Winchester AA Super handicap, and Wally World Federal 4 pack loads, and after 150 rounds down the tube, so far no hiccups. It shoots where I look, which is always a plus for a shotgun.

The ONLY thing I don't like is the loading gate/system. I also have a Browning Sporting Clays Gold semi, and that seems like a much better system than the Rem. With the Browning, with the action open, when you insert a shell into the mag, it automaticly chambers the shell, and closes the action.

Can the Remington 1100 be modified to do that? From what I see, the loading gate is a "competition" style - the release button is at least 1/2 as long as the whole gate.

Just noticed you're in Pennsylvania...may I inquire as to what city?

I've been to Harrisburg and Fort Indiantown Gap in Central PA, to name a few !!

Mifflintown - about midway between Harrisburg and State College along 322 - close to the Sheets on route 35 exit....every Penn Stater knows where the Sheets is....

I run the trap range at Juniata, and shoot 3-gun at Lewisown Pistol club

I've got a Dave's metal works Easyloader on backorder from Midway, hoping it makes reloads a bit easier.

Love my tac4. As long as I keep the extractor spring relatively clean it runs perfect. Every 200 shells or so of Winchester trap loads.
