I recently got into sporting clays and shot the summer with a Franchi Instict SL 20 gauge while looking for a dedicated 12 gauge clays shotgun. Got an 1100 Premier Sporting last weekend since it fit my budget and I'm a sucker for nice wood grain. I've only been out once with it and after being behind on crossing targets the first few stations, starting putting it together and ended up with 81/100. It shoots so soft I thought I had a FTE on the first round. A few more days with it and I'll be ready to take it as my primary on a registered shoot and relegate the Franchi to sub gauge events.

Welcome Speyfly. Trap fan myself. Still using a Remington TB 1100 bought new in 1980. Glad you like the Premier and it sounds nice. Try to go every Sunday weather providing. Not great but I am getting better. These comp. guns are sure expensive nowaday. Paid $330 for mine in 80. Gonna keep it.

Welcome! I started trap this year using an older 870 Wingmaster, then an 870 Express Synthetic. I've moved on to an o/u but after a year am hovering right at the .800 average mark. Jump right in!

Yeah, I suck at shooting clays. I'm not even going to talk about just how bad. Thing is though, I love doing it, even if I do suck. LOL
Welcome to the forum speyfly. This year, I've been mostly using a semi auto Turkish import called the MX5. I know what you mean about soft shooting. Even 11 year olds can shoot that gun without bruises and hurting them. When people ignorant of guns make gun laws, you end up with ignorant gun laws.
-Me Now I know they're not so ignorant and it's ATRRITION |
