Does anyone know what year they started using the "one piece" action bar -vs- the "two piece"?...without doing a tear down. I called Remington and they said the Sportsman 58 that I have was manufactured in 1957 (my dad could not remember when he bough it).

They told me the "two piece" action bars were the newer ones, but they did not know when they switched over.
