I didnt have to do it for any rifle i had, all i know is basic cleaning, can you tell me what i should do to a new Remmy 700 rifle? I disassembled the bolt and cleaned it, the barrel is getting a cleaning in the AM, and the trigger a soak in cleaning solution and some greasing, is the anything else?
The rifle is a Remington 700 SPS 300 Win Mag
Just wondering what you all would do with a new rifle, if anything different than I had done or planned

Some people fire lap the barrel...
