Scope Mount For 788

Hello to everyone, very long time Remington owner here. Would like to know what scope base to get to mount a scope (Have scope and rings) on my 788 .243. Some say it is a long action others say it is a short action. If anyone has the part number for a base to use, I would appreciate it.
