Just got to try that new Glock 43 single stack 9 my friend bought just recently. The gun is nice and light and shooting with the mag. with extended mag for pinky was adequate even though I have long fingers. Accuracy was good as groups were tight at 10 yards. Nicest of all was the trigger pull which is very light at 7 or 8 lbs but feels lighter than that. Decent article in the latest issue of Guns and Ammo testing 10 compact 9s. of which the Glock 43 is included by the way. I think this new offering from Glock is worth a look for anyone considering a compact 9.

Both the new offerings from Glock...the G42 in .380ACP and the G43 in 9mm are worth a test drive when considering a concealable / compact carry firearm.

I currently own a G30SF in .45ACP...and it is my EDC.

Yeah I was amazed at the trigger let off. Does not take much. Am new to these latest models as I have not purchased a handgun since buying my Chief Special C-S 9 back in 1999. Boy times have sure changed!

Guess costs for even aluminum frame models like the CS series like mine were getting prohibitive compared to the polymers. Think list on mine was around $700 in 2006.

A CS9 is a very desireable pistol these days. I lurked on Gunbroker for months looking for a CS9 and there were several but they skyrocketed in price into the stratosphere!!!

If the last pistol you bought was in 1999 you are always welcome in my campfire. I like stuff that isn't the latest and greatest, because it ain't the greatest.

G43~~~ you can keep it.
An ATI stock set on a 1955 16-ga Wingmaster would make Baby Jesus cry...........

Thanks for the reply nitesite. Glad to know I invested in something quality and still worth decent bucks today. I check Gunbroker sometimes and am amazed at what certain guns go for. I believe it is often the only way to get what your rifle, shotgun, or pistol is really worth. My CS-9 has been reliable with ammo I have used. Recall years back when the aluminum pistols were criticized. Now were gettin polymer and bet it's here to stay.
