I have not had a shotgun since I was a kid and and recently acquired a Remington M887 Nitromag 28 inch barrel, 12 gauge. I have put about 50 rounds thru it and found a nice rifled choke and the Hornady SST sabot's work great. Already added a Pachmayr Decelerator Slip-On Pad (Black, Medium) and removed that usesless action support.

Short list of mods for it that I plan to do.

1) modify millet picatinny saddle for 870- in progress, May change this to a shell saddle and not use as picatinny
2.) install tacstar 7 shot extension- - in progress (2 millimeters shaved off bottom of barrel)
a) this requires the tactical swivel mount(has not been purchased- functional not tactical)
b) Tactical 3 way picatinny mount - for #3
3.) Bi-pod for accuracy
4.) Tap the receiver for a picatinny rail(already sent from Remington)

I was initially upset at the lack of aftermarket support for this weapon, but plan to do most myself now. I have everything I need and enjoy the challenge. feel free to let me know any suggestions you may have or any thing that can\should be shared. I will be posting in the M887 section with all my mods.
