As some guns will feed different types of ammo better or worse than others, I thought it might be nice to have a thread where people can share their R51 ammo related experiences. While its good to know what type of range ammo not to buy, I think it would be particularly nice to hear what self defense ammo works well or doesn't.

Please do not judge or comment on peoples ammo choices.

Which ammo do you feed your R51 !?

Thanks, and I wish that I could but alas my LGSs have yet to have any. When I get one I will be trying Liberty Civil Defense for Carry and Tul/Federal 115 grain FMJ for practice though.

First I've heard of Liberty Ammo...may have to order some and try it.

Well as one of the growing number of owners who have had to send back an R5! to Remington , I would love to give you some input unfortunately after one range visit and suffering FTE's, FTF's ,lock ups, Failure to come into battery completely and a unintentional discharge with my finger off the trigger., With ammo that works with no issues on a Glock I must withhold any comment as to what works and what does not, All I want at this point in time is a firearm that I can trust with my life. It seems like a distant goal that has no resolution in sight. Yes I am Pissed.
