There are a couple manners in which to seek 1148s, the web, via gunbroker.com or gunsinternational.com or as I did, the local gunshop! I have a long time relationship with one particular shop here in town. The owner knows I collect and shoot Remingtons. Through him, I have 4 of my 5 1148s, 2 rifles, and 2 of my 5 870s.

Gunshows here aren't too good, as like other places have morphed into blackgun swapmeets. BUT, on occasion, a jewel can be found.

For me, the hunt for the guns were better than the buying!
