Hey,
I have another question.I did a search and came up empty.
When cleaning the versamax pistons,is any lube needed/required on the pistons or piston housing when reassembled? On one hand it is a moving metal part and on the other hand lube with only attract fouling quicker.whats the right way to go here?

Go get your manual and turn to page 19 and start reading "To Clean the Barrel" steps 1 thru 18.
It explains it pretty well, including the pistons.

The only thing I have done different is add a small amount of breech plug grease to the threads on the gas plugs.
We have done so much for so long with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing!
