I have an early 1100 ('70's) and it has the stock plastic butt plate and I am interested in installing a recoil pad. I called limbsaver and spoke with a rep and was told that because the butt has a slight curve the only pad that would work is the slip-over model, they look terrible--it's like wearing goloshes to a wedding reception.

I'm looking for an original Remington 1100 recoil pad. I did a search and they all want to list after-market brands.

Any idea were to find a stock recoil pad?

Happiness is a warm gun, yes it is."

ESQ, the original rubber recoil pad cam on the "magnum" receiver models.
I do not know where to get one that is not already on someones gun, but trying these older remington parts dealers may be a good place to start.

I have a late 60's 1100 with the plastic plate you speak of. I ordered a Remington Supercell pad and it screwed right in place of the old one. Bought it off Amazon. I'll get a pic up soon.

Here it is:

I have this for shooting singles in trap. Fits perfect and works as it should.

Anyone have experience with aftermarket sights for the 1100? Looking into getting one for clay shooting.

Something like this:

Nice list Tujays. Thanks for posting.

As for fiber optic sights. I've found that the William's sights seem a bit brighter and tend to hold up well.
