I have an old rolling block carbine, rim fire made about 1866 to 1899. It has no markings except for numbers. There are no grinding marks or file marks on the barrel or receiver. I have asked the Remington company historical section, best they could come up it is a navy carbine 50/70 number 1. Anyone here have any suggestions of what this rifle is. Had it checked thru Cabelas and Flaydermans
Antique Guns, they said it might be very rare. I really don't know what I have, could use some help.
