I've got my 870 Tactical Magnum with Surefire Flashlight Forend, and side saddle with the Remington Home Defense BB down the tube and 00 Buck on the side saddle.

Always next to my bed ready to be used (hopefully I won't ever have to use it).

I really like the OD green. I debated it when I was picking up my XD40sc but ultimately went with black.

If you're looking and spending that kinda money I would suggest either of these two

LaRue Tactical PredatAR 5.56

or

LaRue Tactical OBR 5.56

I've got one of their uppers and all I can say is they are awesome!

Don't have a Remington, in fact had to get rid of the baby to pay for car repairs. Maybe next time I will find the right one. I will enjoy reading the posts to help get an idea or two. :geek: :geek:

I have an 870 20 gauge 18" barrel 12" LOP stock with a Choate mag extension. I keep it cruiser ready with #3 buck.

Looks good. What type of furniture is on there? Original Remington wood?

Yes it's original, it's one of their exclusive models available through certain dealers. The wood is laminate but looks good. The reason I like it is because from the factory they threaded the 18" barrel for chokes, and I use a full choke which makes that little short barrel a wonderful clay shooter. It patterns very nicely also.

Shooter13, very nice HD weapons you have there. How do you like the pistol grip on the cruiser?
PostPosted: Tue Aug 09, 2011 8:24 pm
The pistol grip works fine for me...it just takes some practice getting use to it. I found that if I hold it at the low ready position and rack the slide to put a round in the chamber, the muscular tension of pushing the slide forward towards the target and the pulling back on the pistol grip as I bring the weapon on target really helps keep the felt recoil to a minimum as I pull the trigger to engage the threat.

Don't know if that explanation converts to the visual, but it does work for me. (I do own a full size synthetic speed-feed stock for it too.)

I understand what you are saying and it makes sense shooting it that way. I have a mossberg 500 20 gauge with a pistok grip with an 18" barrel, after about 20 rounds my wrist starts aching shooting it. So I switched to a hogue 12" LOP stock and it's become one of my favorites now. I still like the pistol grip for around the house though.
