Hi, I'm new and this is my first post. I've been a Rem fan a long time. I picked up a wood stock from an older 700P for an M-40 type build, and i can't find a pic anywhere of a 700P w/ the wood stock for comparison. Doe's anybody have a picture of an original wood stocked police rifle that you can share. Apparently there are not a lot of them floating around. I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm going to try posting a pic of my wood stock. If and when the sun come's out again. Still searching with no luck finding a picture of an original 700P (or PSS,what came first?) rifle in the wood configuration.

Now That is a Nice Lookin Rifle!
Now All You Need is A Matte/Flat Finish Scope to Match. I Really Like the Old School Wood Stocked, Satin Oil Finished, Parkerized "Sniper/Tactical Rifle" Look. Dull Down the Scope & It'll Look Just Like an M-40. Great Lookin Rifle, UncleSarge58 PS: I Have an Old Style Redfield 1 inch 3-9X40 Bearcub Scope that would be Perfect. Might Consider a Trade for It. Maybe a Nice Bushnell, Weaver or Leupold 3-9X40? 78 REM 700BDL: .308WIN w/ 22in. 1-10 Bbl / Redfield 3-9X50 AR

That is a nice looking rifle. Thanks for the pics.
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.-Ronald Reagan
