I bought the one piece (Remington) scope mounts for my Model 700 ADL Stainless, and want to mount them. My question is what type of Lock-tite should I use for the screws? I am a machinist, and know quite a bit about this sort of stuff, but am not a gun smith. I want to use what a gun smith would use, so what have you all used with success? Thanks. ;)

Loctite Blue is what you require...

Loctite® Threadlocker Blue 242® is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools.

Loctite® Threadlocker Red 271™ is designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. It is only removable once cured by heating up parts to 500°F (260°C).

Thankyou! I'll get some tomorrow...now if I could just get my 700 back from Remington with this recall business! Thanks again. ;)
