Back into a Remington 700. My first was a 6mm ADL in the 70s',burnt the throat and rebarreled it myself with a Douglas barrel,burnt that one too from using intense reloads with slow burning IMRs'. My second was a 17Rem BDL,enjoyed reloading for it,was a good shooter,hated the necessary frequent barrel cleaning,sold it a few years ago. My third was a 30-06 ADL,also enjoyed reloading for it.got loads of 147fmjbt and 110jhp(3800fps) to have same impact point at 100yds,sold it a couple years ago. With no bolt actions,I bought Savage high ends in 223 and 308,sold those unfired and bought a 700 SPS Tactical 20" 223 last week.
I don't hunt,just paper punching. The three previous I always glass-bedded the action/stock and floated the barrels. Looking forward to try the new one.
