I bought an R51 two weeks ago and after shooting it I noticed the primers are bulged out with a pin depression in the center. Is this a trait of this gun or do I need to contact Remington? I am concerned that the primer may fail sending the gasses rearward. A friend of mine bought one the same day and his looks the same. I have tried Cheap white box Wal-Mart ammo, Speer Gold Dot, and Remington. all the same result
Thanks,
Casey

Welcome to the Remington Owners Forum Casey !! Wow...I don't like the looks of them !! I would send Remington those pictures and ask if this looks good to them...looks like an accident waiting to happen to me.

I concur send the pictures by all means, Remington does not allow you to even send empty shell casings when you send in the gun.

I just spoke with Remington and they want the gun back to take a look at it. Thanks for the advice guys.

Tracker, I have seen at least 6 videos with cases just like yours. Exactly like yours.
