Found that some of the holsters that I have for my Makarovs fit the R51 very well. Some are the some what generic "small frame auto" type but others are made for the Makarov. The two tan ones are by Backwoods. One of the black holsters is a Allen's Gun Glove for the Makarov, it has the single belt clip to the rear of the gun. The Don Hume JIT Slide is a model 59. The R51 is in the Backwoods IWB.

Good info lincen. That R51 would sure look good with a set of wood grips, maybe Rosewood or Walnut.

Should have added that my son has a couple holsters, left handed, from when he Had his Kahr CM9, they fit pretty good too. My Fobus holsters for the Makarov were NOT a fit for the R51.

Thesis Holsters has added the R51, I have two for another gun and they are very nice. I have ordered a Horsehide - EZ-Clip Holster. At $65 delivered; the last time I ordered it was a quick turnaround time, it was also a new model handgun.

Thanks for the info. Sure enough I went to the site and the R51 was an option. I don't have my concealed weapons permit yet but that will probably order from them once I do. Thanks again!

Midway now offers a Galco holster for the R51 as well.

I have no affiliation with this company either. I have ordered parts in the past from Midway and they seem pretty reliable though.
