I have used the CCI 22mag to great effect on the Green mohaves, and Western diamondbacks here in So AZ. A head shot from a nine shot HR revolver turns them to dead about quick! Makes a good snake out of a bad snake!

It did,

It seems that the small shot and the sheer numbers of shot that are in the capsule just shreds the CN system of a snake. At not much more than 10-15 feet that cloud of 12's coming out of a handgun just stops them cold. It has been my experience the snakes jsut stop moving, with no twitching or anything else.

I have used the Speer capsules with 6grs Unique in 38's for my wife's use.

If you want to see it for yourself, use a potato as a target, and load up some 9's or smaller. I like the 12's better than anything else. It will last a long time. Keep the velocity under 1000fps, and I think you'll like the results.

Here is a link for the capsules, if your gunshop doesn't stock them, the stock number is listed for ease of ordering.
