Picked one of these up from CDNN for my 19 year old for Christmas and having never heard anything but good things about the M700 action, thought this would be a good one as well. But I should have been a little wary with a 269.00 price on it scoped. The action/bolt drags as you work it and I am wondering what if anything can be done to make it smother so that second shot if necessary doesn't get hung up. Thanks to all those who respond to my first topic.

M770 rifle, what can I do to it to make the action smoother?

Nimble, I've used lapping compound to take care of rough bolt ways and such in rifles. Its time consuming and the gun needs to be cleaned very well afterwards. Might try looking at youtube for videos or consult a smith regarding this matter.
