I am new to this site. I have a Remington 552 speedmaster I got from my dad in the early 1980's. the number on the left side of the barrel are EDR. I am trying to find out what year it was manufactured. Can someone help?

Welcome aboard! The 552 Speedmaster has always been one of the most beautiful looking rimfire rifles of all time.
An ATI stock set on a 1955 16-ga Wingmaster would make Baby Jesus cry...........

I JUST ALSO GOT MY FIRST SPEEDMASTER. THERE ACTUALLY REALLY EASY TO DATE, ONCE YOU GET USE TO REMINGTONS SYSTEM. YOU RE JUST GONNA NEED THE FIRST 2 LETTERS.http://www.remingtonsociety.com/rsa/que ... arrelcodes THIS SHOULD HELP
