887 choke question

Hi all new guy here with a new to me 887 ducks unlimited gun so far ive put 75 rounds thru my gun with on 2 l;ight strikes on a couple of remington turkey loads other than that while skeet shooting i had 2 instances where the bolt froze but was able to get the shell out of the chamber by smartly pulling down on the pump anywyas it seems to do good when kept clean my question is this the full choke states for lead or steel but the modified and improved cylinder choke doesnt say are they safe for use with steel as well ? thanks in advance for any info .

I've used steel in my 887 With Improved & Modified with no issue. Modified more than improved. I've even ran slugs down them with no issues.

As far as your bolt freezing, and striking light, I had similar issues with mine, including jamming the fore end into the cocked position (forward, hard!)

My remedy was to dis-assemble and remove the "Action Bar Support"

Some models shipped with it, some without. Refer to your manual, page 19 under "To Re-assmble the firearm" point number 2.

If yours doesn't have it, then don't worry about it.
