I've never really been into shotguns. I'm 100lbs soaking wet, so typically handguns and bullpups are my go-to guns.

But there I was walking around Academy, and I happen by the firearms section. They had some .410 mare's leg ripoff I was eyeballing, when suddenly I see the tackiest shotgun I've ever seen in my life. It was covered in zombie skulls, black and white, but the most intimidating shape I'd ever seen on a shotgun. I ask the clerk to handle it, and he tells me I'd be best off going with an 870, for reliability's sake.

With both in hand, my estrogen took over and I bought both (lol).

Well, several range trips later (and SEVERAL adjustments to my shooting style to ensure I don't short shuck anymore) here I am. A proud and happy Remington owner. Even put out a video a few days back on stripping the 887. I would for the 870 too, but there's hundreds if not thousands of folks who've beat that horse dead and did it better than I think I could.

Well anyways, here I am! Great to meet you folks and glad to be here!

Hey pistolmarks!! Welcome to Remington Owners and the 870 club!!

I love my 870 Super Mag and can definitely relate to that hormonal(testosterone fueled  )gun store frenzy!!

There is something just primal about a good ol' pump action shotgun....let's you get your aggression out with amazing satisfaction as you watch your target disintegrate before your eyes!!

Happy shooting!! :D

Oh yeah...looking at guns, touching guns and shooting guns and collecting guns and shooting and well you get the point....it's a real sickness!! But I can't imagine ever wanting to be cured!!

Welcome from MI.

You cant go wrong with an 870. mine is still going strong after many many many thousands of rounds.

If you find the stock too long there are several aftermarket options available. I put a short LOP on mine as it is more of an hd gun now and to make it easier to shoulder with layers of cold weather clothing on.
