This is the best picture I could get of the inside of the barrel. I've cleaned it since and it looks way better.

I've got more to add but every time I try to it says the image I'm trying to attach is not valid.

You may be trying to load a picture that is larger than allowed. There are some limits to dimensions and size of photographs that can be loaded to the site. Let me know if you keep having issues. Nice pictures of your Remington 1911R1 by the way.
