Hello, all. New guy here whose been lurking for a while and finally decided to become a member.
Purchased a new R1S the other day and finally had a chance to take it to the range this morning. I shot 100 rounds of my handloads and 20 rounds of Hornady Critical Defense with no failures of any kind. Shot 230gr hardball and grouping was satisfactory. The Critical Defense fed and fired fine but groups were not what I consider good so I'll be experimenting with other SD rounds.
Anyway, this target is representative of what I was getting; some a little better, some a little worse. All in all I'm very pleased with this gun.

Not to shabby but I am sure once you find a load that it likes your groupings will improve.
