It's a pleasure to be here and I'm hopeful of getting some technical assistance regarding my Remington 243, 700VLS.
My full name is Woody Mortensen and use the forum name of Yote as I photograph Coyotes and I also hunt yotes but mostly those that may be diseased from desert mange or rabbies and hunt only those yotes that maybe considered a nuisance and endangering livestock of desert ranchers.

I do a lot of camping in the Mojave Desert, off of the Mojave Road and the best time to visit the desert is in the fall or spring as the temperatures can reach 110 degree's. Now is a good time to visit the desert and especially Death Valley, and they don't call it Death Valley for nothing!

I used to do a lot of rock-climbing but now that I'm in my mid 70's, those rocks have grown larger and just don't have the confidence in doing this climbing safely. Shot about 2 dozen rattlers through the years while rock climbing. I've been on top of rock formations with no place to go except a 100 foot drop and here comes a Mojave Rattler. There not a big snake but are the most deadly in North America. I always shoulder a side arm.

Blessing's to all and thankful to be here.
