I just inherited a Remington 12-A pump action 22LR. I have done some research and found that serial number - 4938?? was made and sold in 1920. That is cool cause this means that it was my great grandpa's 22.

My questions are; am I right with the manufacture date and where is the best place to look for a break down on how to disassemble ad clean this rifle? Also, after I clean and reassemble, is there any issue shooting today's ammo I yesterdays gun? Is there anything I should look out for when messing with a weapon this old?
Thanks y'all,

Drew

You can try YouTube for a video of disassembling, I will look also. As far as inspecting it for safety reasons I would bring it to a smith and as their opinion.
