I think I just found my next rifle!

Image

Been looking for a .22lr plinker for a while but I want one that's threaded to accept my suppressor. Most .22lr rifles can be threaded, but the process most often requires removing and re-staking the front sight. Looks like my .308 700 AAC-SD might be getting a little brother here pretty soon.

I'll be ordering this rifle at the end of the month.

Gonna drop it into a 'fire and ice' Trailblazer Rimfire stock and top it off with a Simmons 22 MAG 3-9x32 rimfire scope on a DNZ Game Reaper one-piece mount. The stock, scope, and mount are already on the way. I'll update with pics as parts arrive...

Sounds like a sweet build. Could i recomend the Volquartsen hammer and extractor . I have both they work.Stay clear of remington extended mags they can be frustrating. I agree the 597 AAC would look good beside my 308 AAC Tac aswell. Good luck.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Volq. hammer and extractor. I have no plans to use any extended mags, ten rounds at a time is plenty for me...

Sniper be carefull over cleaning the out side of the barrel and reciever with some cleaners it will take off the factory paint finish eg Hoppe's #9. I was told it can be quite damageing. Remington is refinishing or replacing if this happens. I ran into a guy at a local gun store that told me about his. You can take it or leave it just looking out for a rem brother.

Looks good , is that a AAC suppressor? Looked at one yesterday $189.00 tempting. Hurry up with the build so we can see it's true colours. I think the red ring on the simmons scope will go well with the fire @ ice funiture. PS i didn't see any snow or ice in the pics?

Not an AAC suppressor, it's a YHM .22 Mite. I've got the rifle build-out completed now, so I'll likely have updated pics tomorrow. Took these pics at around noon today and it didn't start snowing here 'til around 3:00. Ground's too warm, so not much is sticking anyway.
