Has anyone tried the Timney "trigger fix" for improving the trigger pull on the Remington 1100/870 shotguns.

Don't own a 870 / 1100...so sorry, can't help you there.

Went ahead and did it. Installed the lightweight spring and ended up with a very crisp pull just under 2lbs.
It's a pain to install as you have to remove the carrier assembly to get to the back side of the sear pin to push it out.

Just did a couple. Worked out fine with a nice light trigger pull. Reassembly can be tricky with the spring and holder under pressure, had them flying all over the place. Finally used a rubber band to hold them while I assembled the pawl, then cut the band and pulled it out. Probably several better ways to do it.

How about just installing a new spring. Not one from many of the parts houses. They are all around 4-6 lbs. I finally gave up in disgust and had some manufactured. http://springs.ccskeet.com mailto:springs@ccskeet.com
