Remington 597 Photo Thread

Here is my 597. I put an Archangel stock on it so it would fit my kids too. The scope is a cheap Famous Maker 12x scope that came on my 700 VTR when I bought it. The magazine is a clear Remington that I painted flat black, the windows show how many rounds are left in five round increments. It shoots very well and is a lot of fun at 100 yards.

I am doing a an Archangel 597 build for my daughter. It will be Pink, with a Hello Kitty theme. She is rather excited. It will be a birthday present for her. I also have a Sig Mosquito that I may have Pink'd also to match. I am hoping that ProMag will add the desert tan for the 597 and also the Marauder Kit for the 597. Makes me hunt the used gun sites for 10/22's and 597's.

I have had my Rem 597 Dicks sporting goods exclusive for a few years now but finally decided to do some customization. I ordered a ProMag Archangel kit for it and it looks awesome. It would look even better if I didn't live in a rediculous state because I had to pin the stock and can not have over a 10 round magazine. Anyway here are a few pics. It has the stock 3-9 x 32 Rem scope and I added a Tapco foregrip and bipod.

 I've had my 597 for just over a month, and so far I've added a Weaver rail, 3-9x40 scope and 30 rd. mag. I also will be adding an Archangel system to it down the road. |

My 597 in its current state:
   VQ hammer and extractor, Tech Sights, threaded barrel, trigger stop, swivel studs, Caldwell bipod, DIP Picatinny rail, CenterPoint 3-9x32 IR scope . . . I'm still waiting on my flash hider to arrive, but other than that it's finished. |
