Loved the gen1 except for the reliability issues. Seems like Remington might have the kinks worked out. At $220 after the rebate, it's worth revisiting. I got that, and a $160 rm380.... that's hipoint pricing for a copy of a rohrbaugh that used to sell for $1000.

Got it, and put 100 rounds of 115grn Winchester white box through it with no failures.

The gun is accurate and easy to shoot fast. Beats on my hand a bit, but that's in exchange for much less muzzle rise, so no worries.

This is currently my favorite gun.

I cursed the R51 last August when I purchased the gen 2. Remington sent me a replacement in November. That too went back to a Remington and I received a replacement in January. It has been with me at every range trip; flawless, accurate, fun to shoot! It likes 124gr and 147gr the best.

I'm guessing they have been tweaking things since the rerelease. Compared to my gen1, I'm noticing much stiffer magazine and recoil springs. The pederson block also hasn't dug two trenches down the top of the frame.

I'm thinking they basically have this gun fixed. I might get another before people realize how good these are.

The recoil spring is longer than the gen 1. Also, the magazines seem to have been fixed. I haven't had any nosedive issues that many people reported last year.
