I have an early 1100 20 gauge with the heavy frame. Are parts such as main springs still available? I'd like to keep a fresh spring in this sweetie to prevent any cracking in the receiver.

Thanks

Thanks! I just posted on the new member board and after checking I found Remington still offers those parts as well.

Thanks

Glad to hear that. A 20 gauge 1100 is much sought after out my way. My favorite!!

The problem is finding a shell latch with heat treating as good as the original. They hang out pretty far on the 12 gauge sized receiver. Most parts are the same as the 12 gauge, so are still available. The ones that are different are scarce now.
What could have happened... did.
