I'm the owner of a 700 and an 870. My primary interest in big game (elk and deer) but enjoy recreational shooting as well.

Of particular interest to me is the conversion of a 700 to use remage (Remington action and threading with a Savage-style barrel nut for head spacing) barrels to make my 700 into a great rifle for both medium and large game. It's currently a standard Remington XHR in .25-06 but I want to rebarrel it as a remage in .270 WCF for everything smaller than bull elk and a .35 Whelen for elk and moose.
