Okay I'm probably going to get really hammered for this but, here goes......
I purchased my VM with a 28" barrel about 2 years ago. Absolutely love the shotgun and have had no issues in two seasons.
The mag capacity is 2+1 when loading 3.5" shells. With the mag spring retainer removed and using only the forearm cap to retain the mag spring, you can get a third shell in the magazine.
Understanding that the mag spring retainer is also a lock for the cap and, one would have to be very diligent in making sure that the forearm cap was tight after every volley.
What are the concerns operating the shotgun for a couple of hunts in this manner?
