Let me know your thoughts on this.

The RM380 slide has two flats on each side. I'm thinking about polishing (not real shiny, more matt) the two flats on each side of the slide. I would leave the top, front and rear of the slide unpolished in the factory black finish to keep the black sights. I would carefully polish the flats leaving the cocking serrations and the lettering black for contrast.

Would this look good or tacky?

I was thinking about bead blasting the whole slide. What you are proposing sounds interesting. Post a photo if and when you do it Please!

OK, I did it. I lightly bead blasted the slide then polished both the slide and parts of the barrel. Looks awesome! Image

OK, the "image" doesn't appear to be working. Here is the link: https://goo.gl/photos/eNed2DW4iPumyF3y7

That looks great. I would like to do the slide on the one my Wife carries (if she'll let me). I guess I need to come out from under my rock more often, I didn't know the slide on the RM380 is stainless, what'll they think of next.
