Hi,
This is kind of a specific question but I reckon if anybody can help me with this it will be the folks on here.

I have a 760 (serial#7***037 if that matters) that has had the threads where the receiver stud mounts galled. I am trying to locate the proper tap to rethread the galled section and am having no luck. I've taken the new receiver stud I got from Numrich arms to a number of hardware stores and auto parts stores with no joy. I attempted to contact Remington directly and that was kind of a dead end.

I apologize if I am using any of the technical terminology incorrectly.
